How to Get Visitors to your Website is something you should know before you set up a site
Knowing how to get visitors and generate traffic to your website is always the first thing you should
think about when setting up a blog or website, because if you don’t have traffic, why bother!
Since I am in the same bucket as most of the people I talk to on Facebook,
Twitter (short conversations) and groups I belong to on Facebook and Blogs where
I “hang out” , we share the same problem that affects us all: A source of
continuous returning traffic. Not enough traffic…no money…not even adsense!
As part of my solution of this common problem: “How to Generate Website
Traffic” I decided to do some research. Since I have a great program (You can
look at it by clicking here) for the basics that needs to be done to generate
website traffic I wanted something more.
I have a program that will search for YouTube videos using whatever keyword
or words that are input. After I got the results, I filtered them by likes and number
of comments because I wanted results that people liked and talked about.
I hit the Jackpot with the first video I chose to look at: How to Get over 850,000
Visitors Per Month to Your Website.
The video made me think of my Friend Sergio who runs one of my favorite
hangouts Marketing with Sergio and one of his very first videos.
Don’t know why these guys think they have to mount a camera in the car and talk
to you while driving down the road. Guess it’s a “guy” thing, but I really think I
saw a similar video series by a well know “Guru” so I’m thinking it is copy-cat.
Who, What, When and Where!
Back to the Jackpot Video. Kyle Graham creator of Ambidupdate.com met up
with David Risley head honcho at PCmech.com for an outdoor interview. Not
recommended in Tampa, Florida where the Gulf breeze blows like a mini
hurricane any time it wants to.
Standing outside of Chilis after lunch, Kyle asked David the Jack Pot Question: “We
want to know how you get 850,000 visitors a month to PCmech?”
Answer: David didn’t hesitate, he said, “We probably post at least 3 times a day.
My partner and I post 3 to 4 times a day and the second thing we do is give away
good quality information. Free….giveaway….quality all extremely important
words. People will come back if they can find a lot of things they need on one
Next question: Why does your site rank so well with Google?
Answer: “It is a WordPress Blog and blogs are search engine friendly to begin
with, plus when we do articles we try to include our keywords in the article title
and the subject line and in the blog post body. So, when someone searches
Google, we get found. If we get found, many return. Also we do have opinions
and sometimes people disagree with us. After all, it is a blog, so a little
controversy once in awhile doesn’t hurt.”
Dave also expounded, “Every article or post asks them to subscribe to Rss feed
or email newsletter.”
There was a brief after the interview p.s. that included a reference to using
Facebook, Twitter and Youtube. Kyle concluded that regular posting of helpful
quality information has to be the base for whatever you are doing to get traffic to
I have posted the video below to save you the trouble. Be sure to take notes, there is
some good information that I haven’t included here.
