Rain and some more Rain…again today, so I am
spending some time inside..listening to Politics and reading emails!!!!  Selling isn’t what it is cracked up to be, so I’m doing research.  Maybe I’ll share.

here is one he used in an email I received this a.m.
 

“Getting Your Message Across Doesn’t Always Work”

“Getting Your Message Across”

 

“There was a terrible flood and a devout Christian was stuck on a roof avoiding the rising flood water.

A guy in a boat came along and said “Hop in. I’ll take you to dry land.”

The Christian said “No. Save someone else. I’ll be fine. God will

rescue me.”

Then another boat came along. Same thing…the Christian waves the boat off. “I’m okay. God’s going to rescue me. I have faith.”

A Helicopter…?

Finally a helicopter comes along but the crew can’t convince him

to get winched up to safety.

“Don’t worry about me,” he says. “God is going to save me.”

The waters keep rising and the man drowns.

When he gets to heaven he’s angry and complains to God

“I had faith that you’d save me and you let me drown.”

God says:

“I don’t know what you mean. I sent 2 boats and a helicopter!”

 

 
“Sometimes people See the Message, but just don’t get the Message.”
Hmmm..
Chris tied it into getting your email messages through.

 

But this applies to Selling in general
cause if you aren’t getting your message through
Might as well give it up as a lost cause.

 

How  Does Selling Really Work?

Have a Message
Cause  or request an Action
People Join up  or Buy (Conversions)
Earn some Income or collect likes or grow an email list!
A whole Big Plate of Yes!!!! 
On the other hand you can end up with this:
No Message
No Action
No Conversions
No Income
A whole Big Plate of No.
  • Regardless of the vehicle you use to deliver your sales message: 
  • Facebook Ads  
  • Blog posts on your WordPress  Domain 
  • Articles posted on your Blogspot blog,
  • Email messages
  • it brings us back to this simple fact: 

The message you are delivering has to connect and FAST.

Most  stats I have read seem to think that you have less than 2 seconds to hook the fish and start reeling it in.

In other words if your prospect looks and leaves, regardless of the source of your Message…you are in trouble. 

Holds true even for Videos. 

So what is a guy (or girl) to do?
