Just so you will know, It isn’t really about Emu Oil, it is about anything you want to sell Online or using Snail Mail,  Ads in a magazine, or on TV:   it doesn’t matter.

What is important is  to develop a  different point of view to write good copy that will sell.   Change your ideas especially about  a  Products Features and a Products Benefits because they are  two entirely different things.    Features describe what the product will do.   Benefits are what the Features Produce.

Many times we get lost in describing  features as benefits,  Just a quick example:  We have a software that will automatically post our pre-written content to our blog.

The Features are:  1. automation of a formerly manual time consuming  task.  2. Can be set to post the number of articles  we want on certain days or dates:  especially useful on membership sites!

The Benefits Are:  1.  time saved so can do  more work in less  time,  2.              Like  “I sold $1001.98  more in two weeks and added 123 new subscriber to my email list.”  after installing this Marvelous plugin. 

The idea is easy, once you break down  what you are selling into its real parts:  Features….what it can do… and the Important Part…Benefits.  Suddenly copy writing become clear as a bell and much easier to deal with.

Of course copy writing has a lot more to it than just enumerating  features and benefits.  There is the Human element that needs to be engaged with what we are saying or it is all in vain.

Creating High Value Content Video or Copy Writing

Creating High Value Content is a Formula

 

It doesn’t matter if the content is for a Sales Page, a Presell page on a blog or a Script for a Video or even your latest blog post, it all comes from the same source: You.

The process of creation can be as hard or as easy as you make it.  For example, if you need a sales page,

then there are some rules you need to apply and having a writing formula for sales pages to use and follow will certainly ease the pain of this task!

Just to give you an idea:

It all goes back to the Eternal Mantra:

  • Find  needy people with a Problem
  • Find a Solution to the problem
  • Package and market your problem solving solution.
  •  Skip any step and you are in  trouble.

What works and why it works.

 

When presenting your solution,  you need a way to get agreement from your prospects.

What can you present to get agreement started?

On webinars, I’ve noticed a lot of questions from the presenter that are requesting a YES response.  So….. formulate a question or two and ask for answers.

This is the Problem that no one seems to be able to solve.

Do you have this problem?  

Do you need a quick and easy solution?   Just to get the YES juices flowing.

Separate the opportunity seekers from the buyers who really use what you are offering and reduce refund requests at the same time.

Good questions to ask:

  • Do you buy things and then don’t bother to  use them?
  • Do you evaluate what you buy with this standard:  Will it help me make some money?
  • Do you buy because it is new and is just something you want to buy?

There are other ways to get the response you are looking for so read others ideas and add to what you have found here..

People are always looking for a better solution to their problems or a quicker, easier way to do something that isn’t even a problem.  They will jump for joy when they think they have found one and with some strategic planning and luck it could be you and your solution.

Remember to include quality and a real working solution that benefits the buyer more than what was paid….next time you make an offer they will remember what they got and how useful it was.

Your job is simple. 

Find a real Problem (with as many people who have this problem as possible),  clearly describe and define this problem so that anyone with this problem can embrace it as their own.

Offer the solution to the problem, whether the solution  is yours or someone else’s that you are recommending or promoting.

Instead of a Big Buy Button on the bottom of your page, do a pre sell…..

After you have defined this Unsolvable Problem,

Get the prospect to visualize life without this problem…then furnish a link to the sales page by telling them to read more here to find the solution.  Read more …..

Ebook creation sort of got pushed onto the back burner.

With all the free reports going around and ad swaps lately, I have download and and read a great deal of them.

I never really gave it a lot of thought until today when I downloaded The eBook Cycle.

I downloaded the eBook from a guy called Daniel Sumner and, naturally I was intrigued to find out the differences between his eBook and all those stored on my hard drive.

I mean what could the difference be? His tag line for the eBook is:

There was an  immediately itching to know what he had to offer, what is so special about the eBook Cycle I thought?

What made it different?

To my amazement, this was no ordinary eBook, no standard format, single column, basic contents yada, yada, yada.

When I opened it, it was visually stunning, full of colour, graphics, tips,  hints and very cool formatting.

I just had to keep Reading.

Working my way through the eBook I immediately found that, this was no 10 minute knock up!

There was time, effort and dare I say it a Lot of Love in this Mini Masterpiece.

Fairy tales are great for kids but perceptive readers who are interested in and knowledgeable about your copy message will quickly dismiss your offering and leave if you don’t have accurate relevant information for them.

If you are like me and tried to compose copy describing the best way to rebuild a diesel engine, what could you write?

I’d be inclined to direct them to the nearest diesel mechanic! But this isn’t what good copy writers do.

To shed some light on the subject, find a diesel mechanic and interview him or her. Find some repair manuals, do it yourself guides and even a good encyclopedia and dig into them.

Research is a great tool for writers and it pays off.

When you have your facts in hand, along with references for where you got the information, then start writing!

Tip Number 3. The Customer is always Right!

You need to relate to your readers or audience by “talking” to them in a “voice” they are comfortable with.

In other words find out what your customer is interested in and write copy that will perk their interest and keep them reading.

Remember your mechanic interview?

Really listen to the mechanics words and how they were presented and emphasized.

Words you don’t understand, research because if the mechanic thought them important, then your potential customer will be hypnotized by getting “real” information from a pro!

Something important to remember: What is the reading level of the person you to whom you are directing this great power copy? Back to Research!

Know who you are “talking to” and incorporate language that can be read, understood and related to by your reader.

It wouldn’t make sense to write about the Latest Fads in Eye Makeup for Teens and use vernacular more suited to Grandma zipping around on the golf course in the Retirement Village in Florida!

Keep in mind, this power copy message you are writing is

  • factual,
  • informative,
  • stimulates the imagination and

you wouldn’t be writing it unless you wanted to sell something.

Tip Number 4. Incorporate the Use of Correct Grammar

Don’t lose your authority and professionalism by using incorrect grammar, overlooking spelling errors and in general disrespecting your reader by not caring about your presentation.

You don’t want to be labeled as an amateur and detract from your Expert Rating because of careless mistakes.

Tip Number 5. The Almighty Headline

Get this right and you have it made.

Get it wrong and lose 7 out of 10 readers… well not readers… just a glance, a quick look for a second or two, not interested and don’t read.  Gone.

How, How To, New, To (the person you are

targeting), Save, and even Free are often good

Beginners for Headlines and Numbers work too.

The human mind perceives numbers in a different part of the physical brain and processes them a little longer than just plain text, so maybe you get an extra glance!

One theory is that the mind tries to calculate the value of a number as opposed to just absorbing the information presented in text.

Now to the end.

Remember who you are writing for… your potential customer. Focus on making your power copy understandable, relevant and even that plain word: likeable.

Your job is to entice a response from your reader e.g.,

  • buy,
  • sign up,
  • enroll,
  • get a simple Facebook like or
  • even just complete a survey.

Keep it simple and direct and targeted on your product or idea and finally enjoy what you are doing and pass that pleasure on to your readers.

How to Blog with an Article Writer Assistant
