Reality Hacks Daytime Fairy Tales?

Reality Hacks Are they real or imagined?

Some say that reality hacks are the processing of communications which is information.
Deep!
Try this one on for size.  It is found at (http://www.realityhack.net/)

Posted on 02/16/2012

Reality is an information substrate between observer and observed, between actor and that which is acted upon. All interaction between entities involve the exchange of information through the medium of this substrate.

The act of modifying this substrate is termed ‘reality hacking’.

The first program most beginner programmers learn involves the display of the following string of text:

HELLO WORLD

The execution of this code is an important moment in any programmer’s life. It allows the communication of a greeting, addressed to the world as a whole, through the information medium of a computer language.

It is a declaration of existence, just as this first post is.

Hello, world.

Well we are skating down the fast slope…things are rushing past …
We aren’t talking about coding WordPress or anything else, we are discussing Reality .

Since I saw Reality Hacking called something like the art and science of manipulating the information substrate.
And then found this, all wound up with computers and coding instead of knowing and thinking:

Reality hacking is an intentional cultivation of neophilia.
It is a conscious love of uncertainty and randomness.
Reality hacking is hacking open the calcified knowledge structures that prevent the introduction of entropy, on the individual and the societal levels.

Perhaps one of my favorites is this:
“Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.”

I Am Now Officially a Coding Geek-Appointed by My Hosting Company

Have you been appointed as a Coding Geek by your Hosting Company?  Here is the notice I recently received from Host Gator on my shared hosting account..

Dear Valued Customer,

Regarding your shared hosting account on gator3089.hostgator.com with the primary domain name joellafightsdiabetes.com, We’re writing to inform you of an important change in your server’s default configuration that may affect your websites.

The default version of PHP employed by our servers will be updated to PHP 5.4 on 5/19/2014.

We will be attempting to automatically detect the compatibility of joellafightsdiabetes.com and any other addon domains you have, but we want to ask you to please log into your cPanel and test all of your sites using PHP 5.4 by following the directions given in this article:

http://support.hostgator.com/articles/cpanel/php-configuration-plugin

FAQ:

1) Why are you making this change?

The default version of PHP that our servers are currently utilizing; PHP 5.2 ; has been deprecated for some time. As such, we would like to see your sites enjoying the security and performance benefits of the newer versions of PHP which we already have available on your server.

2) How can I make sure my sites will work?

While we are taking every possible step to try and automatically assign the right version to all of your scripts, we do want to ask you to please login into your cPanel and test all of your sites using PHP 5.4 yourself.

Here’s a more detailed explanation on how to test this using our plugin available via cPanel.

The default behavior of your account is for PHP settings to be inherited by sub-directories.

That means that you can easily test all of your site’s compatibility with PHP 5.4, by setting the PHP handler for your home directory for your account to PHP 5.4.

Then simply test your websites by opening them in your browser.

To test this using our plugin please do the following:

  • * Login to your cPanel at https://gator3089.hostgator.com/cpanel* Click on the “PHP Configuration” icon, which can be found under the “Advanced” group of icons in cPanel. * From the drop-down of Available PHP handlers, please select “PHP 5.4” without changing the target directory from the current setting. It should be displaying / (Current Folder). Click on “Update”* You should see a confirmation message that reads: The “.php” file extension will be processed by PHP 54 for this account. Clicking on “Back” you should now notice the dropdown listing PHP 5.4 as the active Handler * At this point you will want to test your sites by opening them in your browser. If you do not notice any issues or visible errors, this means your sites are compatible with PHP 5.4 and you do not need to perform any further actions to ensure they continue to work once the PHP upgrade is performed. You will simply want to leave the Handler that was just set as the active one without any other changes. * If on the other hand, you do notice issues during your test with your sites and the PHP 5.4 Handler that was enabled, you can then simply toggle the active Handler via our plugin and set it to use “PHP 5.2”.

This should set your account to specifically use the the current default version of PHP in our servers and ensure they continue to use this version once the PHP upgrade process is performed.

Our upgrade process is set to honor the current Handler settings you set via this plugin to ensure your scripts continue to work once the upgrade is completed.

Please note: Selecting “No custom Handler (Sys Default)”, will NOT ensure your account stays using PHP 5.2 once the PHP upgrade is complete.

While PHP 5.2 is currently the system default version, once the upgrade is complete, the default version will be PHP 5.4.

If your applications require PHP 5.2 you will want to make sure to specifically select the “PHP 5.2” option.

3) Will my site’s experience any down time?

The switch between PHP versions is simply a configuration change in your .htaccess file(s) as such, there is no maintenance which must be performed on the server itself that would cause any service outages.

Applications that are not compatible with PHP 5.4 will fail to load properly once the change is performed.

While we will make every effort to automatically perform compatibility checks for each accounts and set the appropriate Handler, it’s imperative for you to please do the compatibility tests from your end as well using the steps listed above, before 5/19/2014 .

4) Who can help me update my site/script to use a newer version of PHP?

While we can assist you with changing the version of PHP your script utilizes, we will not be able to recode your site to be compatible with newer versions of PHP.

You should contact the script’s author/developer to inquire as to whether or not they currently have or plan to re-design their code to utilize later versions of PHP.

I’ve got to go to school and study up.  Not sure I have enough time left in this world to rewrite the scripts on my websites.

Funny, I had something that wasn’t working last month and went in and changed my PHP version to 5.4 per the instructions of the author of the program that wasn’t working.

As Luck would have it, everything else in my shared account worked with the new version of PHP.

Don’t recall any instructions to “fix it” if is broken other than that ominous phrase…”contact your site designer”.

Since that is me and I haven’t yet graduated to being a professional IT guess it would have been  Sergio Felix time.  So if you aren’t a coding Geek…make sure you have friend that can point you in the right direction.

Copy Writing Skills

With the help of  Cararta Skipper you can begin learning copy writing skills

Visit us today to get your Free Membership in Power Writing  to upgrade your copy writing skills.

Practice makes Perfect if you Have Help

!Just to start you thinking,

I have included these two  Videos of Gary Halbert at a seminar explaining how to sell

 Emu Oil.

It is Funny and instructive at the same time!

Just below the first Video is  the Second part!

Just so you will know, It isn’t really about Emu Oil, it is about anything you want to sell Online or using Snail Mail,  Ads in a magazine, or on TV:   it doesn’t matter.

What is important is  to develop a  different point of view to write good copy that will sell.   Change your ideas especially about  a  Products Features and a Products Benefits because they are  two entirely different things.    Features describe what the product will do.   Benefits are what the Features Produce.

Many times we get lost in describing  features as benefits,  Just a quick example:  We have a software that will automatically post our pre-written content to our blog.

The Features are:  1. automation of a formerly manual time consuming  task.  2. Can be set to post the number of articles  we want on certain days or dates:  especially useful on membership sites!

The Benefits Are:  1.  time saved so can do  more work in less  time,  2. Keeps site up to date  improving Google ratings because blog always has fresh content.  3  Better ranking improves site traffic with the added benefit of  improved  opt ins to mailing list and more onsite  sales.   All of which translate into……More Money!   The Ultimate Benefit.    If the plugin has been tested then it  would be easy to describe all these great benefits using facts and figures

Like  “I sold $1001.98  more in two weeks and added 123 new subscriber to my email list.”  after installing this Marvelous plugin.

The idea is easy, once you break down  what you are selling into its real parts:  Features….what it can do… and the Important Part…Benefits.  Suddenly copy writing become clear as a bell and much easier to deal with.

Of course copy writing has a lot more to it than just enumerating  features and benefits.  There is the Human element that needs to be engaged with what we are saying or it is all in vain.

Listen to Gary Halbert in the videos below and you will get a lesson in sales strategy plus some tried and true Tips on copy writing .  He is using a flashlight to read what he wrote because of sight problems that were later corrected with surgery….

Click here to get your Power Copy Writing Membership  Free (normally $27.00) which includes a list of  amazing Trigger words that work like magic.

Just in case you get caught in that trap called Writers Block, I have added a link to a friends blog about overcoming this Big Block to Productivity that sometimes catches up all.  Check out this article at  Adrienne Smith.

Google Searches in a Graph: Blogger, Money, WordPress

What is going on at Google.

Searching Google for Blogger, Money, and WordPress and ended up with the searches displayed in a Graph. Similar to this one.

Google Trends Over the Years

Google Trends Over the Years

Graph of three searches.  Think you know what is popular?

Have had this graph on my site for almost two years.

What is interesting about it is this one fact, for two years WordPress and Money have battled it out for the number one position on the graph and Blogger rides the bottom.

Since February, 2014 this battle between the keyword Money and WordPress changes every day…

When I click and go to Google, I can access trends and get other types of  up to date information.  Related searches include some interesting stuff…  Have a look: this was a continuation of the search for “money”.

Google Charts and Trends

Google Charts and Trends can show some searches related to what you are searching for.

You can pick up your own graph from Google if you would like to display it somewhere on your site.

I’m posting Google Graph in this post because the widget space at the bottom of the page isn’t large enough to display the dates at the end of the lines.

Previously displayed the chart at the bottom, but removing because of page loading considerations.   Always something!

By the way search in Google Trends to find the charts.   Sometimes have good suggestions for another article on what you are searching for.

Not sure I’m interested in getting results for “cheating in video games”.

Just a whimsical offering today.  Get tired or everything always being serious.  Life is Fun.

Hope you had some here today.

SEO On A Different Path – Incredibly Effective!

SEO isn’t just H1 and H2 and some Tags and Keywords!  Marketing has joined the group.

Sometimes SEO is just doing what will get your page or post or YouTube Video ranked.

Make Sense?

Here watch this short video about a  Plugin, then I’ll explain.

This  Plugin –  called simply The Hangout Plugin
May appear at first to have NAUGHT to do with SEO.

But – Believe me. It REALLY Does.

  • It is different.
  • It is unique!
  • It even taps into the power that Spielberg and Obama are using!

We all know that YouTube videos and channels rank incredibly well.

And Google Hangouts combined with Youtube

Are getting serious attention right now.

Big name marketers have started using hangouts as a massive way

of reaching their audiences…. and exploding their bottom line in the process.

Has Marketing edged its big foot into manipulating or replacing  SEO?

What has Happened to SEO?  Where did all the Rules Go?

SEO is a changing game. But one thing stays constant….
And that is the provision that high quality content always wins.

Hangouts (by Google…. hint!)
Are gathering momentum.

This Hangout plugin

(also combined with the AWESOME bonus software for ranking them) will have your hangouts and channels boosting your rank FAST.
(how does  four hours – page 1 ! sound to you? ) Plus…use your description for
an extra boost when you include allowed direct links to your site or  Offer!

And if there has ever been an urgency around an SEO technique – it’s now.
Not because any ‘loophole‘ is closing.

Just the opposite actually.
Google is growing the hangout system in a major way…Plus there is Google+ that is

known for indexing and  ranking YouTube videos and Hangouts  Fast.

Here is a list of what this plugin can do:

Google Hangouts are REALLY gaining in popularity.
Chances are, that if you haven’t been on one recently – that you have been invited to one – or know about them.

SO DO YOUR LIST

Hangouts are awesome for so many things – including presentations, launches, customer support – heck even rock bands, Steven Spielberg and Barrack Obama used them!

But Hangouts are missing a few pieces to make them a serious alternative to Webinars.

Hangout Plugin gives the pieces of the puzzle that are MISSING from Google hangouts to make it a an easy to use serious player.

  • Plug ‘N Play simplicity – setup hangouts in 5 steps from your WordPress dashboard.
  •   Provide Full Registration Facility – Hangouts have been  missing the ability to set a date and send registrations to the page – capturing leads.
  • (Hangout plugin integrates with major auto responders instantly too!)
  •  Provide reminder emails – Send emails to registered event attendees – making sure that the people don’t MISS the hangout – getting more people to the event on time.
  •  Allow Registered Leads To Be Exported –One click into csv files
  •  Maintain Complete BRANDING Control – This is massive – because the Hangout plugin embeds the hangout into YOUR site, the person is watching via youtube as you live stream the event, but the branding is all controlled by the site. (huge!!)
  •  Follow Up Email System Built In – After the event, send people automatic thank you emails and links to the replay (automatically done by youtube)

And here is the KICKER

This plugin will offer UNLIMITED seats, UNLIMITED events
and unlimited sites – for one incredibly low fee.

Where does the SEO and Marketing come from?  A powerful combination of quick ranking and the added advantage of emails, the ultimate marketing traffic tool.

If you would like to take a look at another video

that shows the inside workings and setup Click Here.

Easy No monthly Fee Webinars, email integration with Aweber,  scheduled times,

combined with SEO and Marketing.  A no-brainer!

Leverage Your Marketing Skills: Social Marketing Works

Leverage Your Marketing Skills and Become a Professional Marketer

Facebook is approaching the threshold of looking like an overcrowded
marketplace instead of an online backyard cookout with friends and
family.

Friends and Family

Friends and Family
Jenny-Erickson-sx-stock-happy-family.jpg

Gossiping in a group or posting on your wall about your recent
vacation or how and where you traveled can inundate your sidebar or
news feed with ads for related travel bargains.

Make an innocent remark, “I won $1,000 playing poker in Las Vegas,
but lost it all back gambling on 21″  and watch the sidebar start
flipping!

Even the most innocent task can bring a revelation!

I recently searched (using FireFox and Google) for a tool to unclog
a frozen drain. Ended up searching in Lowe’s, Home Depot and Ace
Hardware. Never gave it a thought…but I have cookies that target
my local stores so if something is available it will show in stock or
when available.

I finally found the tool in stock at Ace Hardware and called to
verify and requested that it be put on hold for me. Closed my tab,
opened another and clicked on my Facebook sign in reminder so nicely
displayed by Fox Fire.

First Like and Comment I made….nothing to do with plumbing…but
the sidebar flipped and here comes an Ad from Home Depot with a
picture of the exact tool I had searched for with the CTA, “click and
pick up in my named local store.”

Shock!

Does this ad just display to me, or because my Facebook
account profile is almost unrestricted, is everything I see visible
to others that I’ve liked and commented on their post when it is in
my news feed?

What if I had a need for adult diapers and searched for them at
Wal-mart, Walgreen’s or even Costco. Would I have gotten the benefit
of an ad about adult diapers?

I know all this operates on cookies in one way or another as a fellow
marketer in another Facebook  group explained , but it still left a tingling
in my mind to find out if the “cookie thing” could be leveraged for
marketing.

Define who you are and optimize your marketing efforts.

Since most of us belong to several groups that promote online
marketing it is important to note:

When you visit and comment, you are defining yourself, giving away tidbits of persona and opinion in a way that brands you.

It  has become  important to put your actions and reactions into your marketing plan because who you are perceived to be is who you are to your online friends and colleagues.

Learn Some Marketing Skills to Make Your Work Easier

With this in mind, learning a few marketing skills is a “Good Thing”
as marketing Guru Martha Stewart is fond of saying. She is a
marketing Guru because she has branded herself so well that I don’t
need to explain who Martha Stewart is. You know who she is and what she does.

It is becoming more important to include marketing skills in almost
everything you do including liking and commenting on Facebook and
Twitter.

Learn to listen as a marketer.

There are some elements of listening that go beyond being friends.

Marketing requires active analysis of what you are hearing. You are searching for ways to connect with people, to make the most of opportunities and leverage your connections and relationships.

When joining a group, become aware of group characteristics, analyze membership focus and determine what these members are seeking that motivated them to become a part of this group.

While many groups are  set up by marketers of a particular product as a “Bonus” it also has the effect of gathering people with similar goals but with different levels of competence at implementing strategies to accomplish their marketing ambitions.

Use your group membership to watch and learn from the members who know what they are doing.  Make friends and contacts, not in a self serving way, but share what you learn and be helpful to others.  Giving always reaps a return.

Decide What You Want to Leverage by Using Facts & Figures

Leveraging connections and relationships in a group doesn’t work if
done blind without useable data.

You need an overall picture of who is what, what they are really doing and even being able to focus on insights about their targeted goals for connection to a customer base.

Google analytics might be helpful, try using Facebook’s new insights
tool to add the sites you’d like to watch onto one of your Fan pages
so that you get a comparison with what you are doing.

Cut through the guessing and check out the good and the bad.

It will give you a clue if you go look at the sites and determine what is making someones site improve and on the reverse..what caused a site to sink in the rating stats.

In Facebook the rankings seems to be calculated on the number of shares, comments and likes but with unknown values.  One reason being that a like can turn into a share from someone who saw the like from a friend, but not where you posted!

Use as much data as you can assemble and interpret it to make a
decision about who to connect with in order to learn what techniques they are using to optimize their marketing leverage.

This may seem self interested, but it is all part of you striving to  develop professional marketing skills.

An easy picture of all this can be illustrated by email list building programs that keep insisting that developing a relationship with your subscribers and treating them well is likely more important than building a list to begin with.  The bottom line is you can build a list, but if they unsubscribe…what have you accomplished?

How Do You Connect and Engage Varied Types of People

As a Marketer you come into contact with many types of people.

Good marketers realize the fact that people have different personality types it is necessary to learn how to approach and engage them based on their own particular likes and dislikes.

Since marketing can be defined as communicating, then tactful skills
must be developed for doing this important job.

There is an old social saying that I often heard from my Grandmother, “don’t say what you are thinking, but think about what you are saying.

Adding this particular social skill to your professional marketing
tool kit can make a difference. That old adage: Don’t discuss
Religion and Politics in polite society, has stuck around for a reason.

Most of the online people you are in contact with, you never meet
personally and don’t know how involved or passionate they are about either of these subjects, so it is a case of take care!

A timely recommendation is available is from Miss Manners:

Leverage your Marketing Assets

Every marketer I have met is on a budget. Traffic, branding,

engaging other marketers, other contacts and potential customers is dependent on your advertising budget.

Since many new start up marketers have a zero budget it is time to become creative.
Using Twitter, bloggers you like and follow, Facebook groups, friends and followers on Twitter and Facebook are assets that can be leveraged without a large cash outflow but at the expense of your valuable time.

Develop your own contact system for getting in touch with people who are on your targeting list.
How you reach them is important as many prefer Twitter or Facebook or even commenters on their blog and are more engaged
when contacted on their preferred medium.
Think about who you connect with in either of these mediums to create an efficient system and prioritize your resources for more results with less effort.

Keep Yourself Up to Date

Don’t hide your head in the sand. Keep up to date with what is going
on in the real world and connect it to your Marketing world. Watch the news, check out what is trending in Google, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and even Pinterest.

Regardless of your intended market, if you just focus solely on that
one area it is easy to become disconnected.

Using popular and current events and information in your communications makes you an interesting and welcome contact.
Just look around Facebook for instance and notice whose posts have large numbers of comments and engagement.
Figure out how or what content or types of pictures the person is using to connect.

Concentrate on identifying what attracts peoples interest or pulls on their “heart strings” so that they keep returning, even if what is posted has been said in a slightly different way may times before.

Just an observation, posting about conquering an addiction, a chronic health issue, or even overcoming a big problem with your hosting company or a technical issue seems to draw in contacts who have or had a similar problem.  People love to talk about themselves so give them the opportunity.

Evaluate Your Marketing Efforts on a Schedule

It is easy to bury yourself in the details of what you are trying to
do, but teaching yourself to look at the overall picture of how you
are leveraging your marketing can be of immense benefit.

Planned haste in doing this doesn’t necessarily make waste, but optimizes your efforts and you become much more effective in your marketing. Schedule a time at least once a month to look at what you are using and doing and what kind of results you are getting.

How Can I Learn How To Do all this Leveraged Marketing?

Below is an excerpt from interesting article I picked up and read at Growth Hackers that focuses on using content marketing in
a different way. It includes some very valuable suggestions for several social marketing mediums and their use for Marketing:

“How to design successful social products with 3 habit-forming feedback loops by Andrew Chen On Twitter I’m @andrewchen.

Connecting content posters and consumers to drive relevance.

The way that content consumers participate in the feedback loop is
that they give feedback to content creators. But before they do that,
they need to have a method of picking what content is relevant to them on their home screens:

Picking people (Facebook, Twitter)
Picking topics (Quora, Stackexchange)
Leaderboards (Reddit, Hacker News)
Editorial curation (Medium)
Algorithmic curation (Flipboard, Prismatic)
Location (Foursquare, Highlight)
Anonymously matched (Secret)
… and more to be invented!

All of the above work, with different tradeoffs. Allowing people to
customize their content consumption based on people and topics is the
most scalable, but the hardest to get started. “

Access to the rest of the article: http://andrewchen.co/2014/03/17/how-to-design-successful-social-products-with-3-habit-forming-feedback-loops/

Another Way to educate yourself about Marketing:

Find a group that is interested in digital Marketing and join. Do a
search on Facebook and Google for digital marketing groups. Look them over and decide which one is offering what you need to learn.

People love to share their knowledge and techniques.

My recommendation: Growth Hackers this site is loaded with over-the-top Posts written by extremely knowledgeable people who are sharing.
Growth Hackers is free to join, plus you have the opportunity to make a contribution by posting there.

In Conclusion:

Leverage Marketing is a skill that every marketer needs to develop.
Marketing works online in the internet and is still just as effective offline.

Word of mouth, classified ads, magazines, television, bill boards and
radio…the list is endless of ways to market. Each type of marketing
has its own set of skills that are required to become  effective at using it.
Decide on your marketing category and develop your skills.  The payoff will be worth working for.

Coaching Review: Marketing Where to Draw the Line

Coaching:

This Review about Marketing Tips is part of a

coaching program and is definitely a benefit.

I’m getting told to stop buying all the junk.

A lot of marketers are still selling products that are presented as something that is going to kickstart your efforts into a huge income bonanza in a week.

This isn’t a blueprint for success or a consistent platform for future success.  It is often something that worked for that marketer because he or she had a support structure in place that could take advantage of this particular software or strategy.

So, depending on the marketer, they decide to share and create a “product” that is shared either privately with other “Gurus” or send it out their followers and recruited JVs (joint venture partners).

I added this explanation of a JV because there is probably someone like me who is still learning the marketers vocabulary and doesn’t realize the real source of all those recommendations that pile up in your inbox every day.

If you are on several mailing lists, depending on the level of sophistication of your subscribed-to marketers…you notice that some of the emails are copied and pasted from somewhere.  Except for the difference in the link to click on, it is like watching the exact same TV ad to buy a Kitchen Aide Blender, except it is on sale at Wal-mart instead of Macys.

All these wonderful offers might work for someone whose level of development and growth has a structure in place to take advantage of a probably temporarily unsaturated technique.

I watch a lot of webinars because like the rest of you, I’m still searching, even though I try to keep focused and work on what I already have.  Plus, I’m a nosey Bessie and want to keep up with what is going on.  Never know, you might hit the gold!

Some things that have stuck:  Remarks that I’ve heard Jason Fladlien make in more that one of his webinar presentations.

No Quote Marks anywhere in this, because it is all what I remember and less, because Jason talks fast and gets so excited you might call it Audio Spam!

Internet marketing requires speed.  When something new comes along, don’t buy it and store it on your hard drive. The minute you download it, go through it and use it the same day.

If you aren’t going to use it, then don’t buy this.  I don’t want tire kickers buying and requesting refunds.  Refunds are not a problem, it is just a personal preference that I have. I want to help people improve their marketing outcome, not waste time downloading and not using what I am offering.

Who gets there first, gets the money.  That is what this is all about. But, he is quick to emphasize this point:

This isn’t just about the money, it is also about providing your subscribers and buyers with value.

Jason emphasizes and states over and over…many times on a webinar that he will give the lucky attendees 90% of whatever he is selling.

This is value.  No quotes, because this is what I remember him saying.

Except for a few of my own tweaks that are being sold in whatever I am offering, you could take what I have given you on this webiar and implement it today and earn from it. The difference between using what I have given you on this webinar and what you get in the offer is going to be the speed and ease of setup and how much you eventually earn.

I have also noticed that a consistent part of any offer he makes is videos and written instructions for setting up and using the offer.  If you are technically challenged this can make the difference and is part of that Value he talks about.

Enough on Jason Fladlien.

The point that might have gotten lost in the shuffle is this:

Learn to critically assess any of the Marketed offers that come into your Inbox.

Criterior number one should be this:  With what I have in place…a blog on my domain, a Facebook Fan Page, Google Blogs, WordPress com sites, Squidoo, etc.  can I use this offer and integrate it into what I have to improve the results that I am now getting.

To my sorrow, I have in the past bought programs, gone through them and half heartedly used them with dismal results.

An older and more informed assesment reveals this one flaw in many of the programs marketed today and in the past:

Traffic=Money

While many will load you up with a “Bonus” for getting traffic to your site and offers, unless you have the cash on hand for a super Keyword targeted PAID advertising campaign, you’ve just bought some more Hard Drive clutter.

Worse are the ones that include an OTO to the venders suggested backlink farms (which of course cost a pretty penny) and result in de-indexing of your site by Google. Even though they will pre-sell this offer as not needing SEO, Google, Facebook ad infinitum, but is their Traffic solution.

A funny footnote for this ramble is this.  Windows 7 which I recently upgraded to has an interesting feature:  Explorer Search

I can use it to even search my usb portable drive that I plugged into my computer after removing it from my old unfunctioning XP based computer.

So if you run across an interesting Earth Shaking offer, search your hard drives, use the offer name or the venders name and see what you already have.  You probably have the program already, but are just missing some small piece of software like a new plugin or added bonus that can be acquired under a different name somewhere else and will function for you.

Or even better, you might have unsubscribed from updates and just need to visit the program’s members area, sign in and get the update.
If you have a program from an active marketer who didn’t bite the dust after selling, then to maintain his reputation he keeps his original offer up to date and many includede free updates for life.

This is especially true for WordPress plugins or binary programs that you use on your desktop. Some get a little hard nosed at times and slightly change the program name so it isn’t just an update, but will often give credit to owners through support for the original purchase so they can “update to the new version” at a discounted price.

I’ve strayed from my beginning thoughts.  My coach did say, “clean out your main email account, move subscritions or unsubscribe and Stop buying.”

The following is what I fixed in my mind, not a direct quote.

Right now you need to concentrate on setting up your mind and thought process instead of buying any more programs that you don’t use.  Included are a whole weeks worth of videos that must be watched in the coaching members area (If you skip one, you get a notice….).

It amounts to:  You paid me to coach you.  If you want the results you are seeking, How to Make a Living on the Internet, then do what I tell you.  You may not think these videos are necessary, but they are.  They made a big difference in what has made me succesful.  They will do the same for you.

I watched these videos several years after I started making “Big” money doing what I do.  I feel so strongly about the information included, that I went to the producer of these videos and bought rights from him so I could include them in my coaching program.

Watch every video and even download the provided audios so you can listen to them when you are doing other things like: driving to work, jogging, raking leaves or even hiking.

Repetiton works.

This is important. Do it or leave.  I can’t help you.
The unsubscribe button is at the bottom of all my emails.

I plan to post this review of what I am learning in my Marketing category, because there are evidently some things to learn about marketing that aren’t included in just plain old marketing This-is- how-you-do-it programs.

To be continued.

P.S.  This is my effort to give value.  So if I have given you something worth thinking about then good or bad (I post them all except for Spam) comment and contribute your 2 cents worth!

Cararta,

Review: Dave Nicholson Says What are the Simplest and Best Ways to Make Money Online

Well, What are Some of the Ways to Make Money Online, According to Dave Nicholson?

I can tell you upfront, from reading what Dave Nicholson has to say, a way to make money online isn’t spending your day reading blogs and flitting around Facebook and Twitter making comments…

Don’t know about you, but I put some thought into the comments I leave on others blogs and their posts that I read, Facebook and other Bloggers  Website included. For months now I’ve “played” the game of blogger.

As a result I used up all that creative energy that I formerly put into posting on my “sites” as I call them. Looking back I can see the error of my ways. No updates and a steady decline in what little traffic and authority I had built up.

Picture of World WordPress

WordPress is used all over the World

Just so you can take a look and decide for yourself, here is a small sample of some of my sites:

How to get Started All Wrong!

I didn’t set out to comment here and there and thereby gain back links to my own blog (actually just glossed over any mention of “back links” didn’t know what they were, didn’t care).

What I discovered was a treasure trove of information, offered freely and with good intentions by some blogger Super Stars (in my opinion).

I never commented except occasionally to say Thank You for some helpful information I found in someone’s post or page.

And since I was looking for some information and help in correcting some problems that started showing up on some of my “sites” started paying attention to people who knew a lot more than I did about what to do to fix things.

How I got to Where I am Today With My Help and of Course Google’s Birds

As I have noted before in another post, I started taking a John Thornhill course and acquired my very first Human comment.

This was on the “site” I was working on and the comment by none other than Sergio Felix  from http://marketingwithsergio.com/video-branding-101/ not his old Place of Business, but where he is now.

Note that Sergio has a background and education as an IT so his advice should be taken seriously!

Then followed.

After this  I  became acquainted with Barry Wells http://barry-wells.com/  who seemed to always have experience and a ready solution for many of my oops with WordPress that I was trying to solve!

Host Gator is very helpful, but as they are quick to tell you, they don’t support WordPress..talk to your website designer…(which is me, so talking to me wasn’t helpful).

How to end up without a working Blog!

  • So I continued on my merry way,
  • reading and commenting.
  • .Facebook,
  • Twitter and on a
  • growing list of favorite blogs,

but I started leaving something out:  Writing and posting on my own sites.

This new direction, along with the continuing problems with my sites and spending hours doing repairs and endless chats with HG support,

left me without the motivation, creativity and Time needed to do what I should be doing to maintain my sites.

Where Did I Spend my Valuable Time?

http://adriennesmith.net/

http://www.dansumnerblog.com/

http://www.johnthornhill.com/blog/

I could acquire a list each day of ten or more other bloggers who had commented on these blogs with shared information that was useful to me.

But if all I’m doing is reading, learning and then commenting to show my appreciation for what I have learned….

there is no time left to implement what I have learned.

Of course Sergio and Barry were on this Must Do list (never made a list, just went where I wanted to).

For example, clicking on the above links to verify they work, I spent some of my valuable writing time reading and commenting on Dan’s post about

Here are the Top 10 Prioritizing Tips you don’t want to Miss!

http://marketingfromscratch.com/top-10-prioritising-tips-dont-want-miss/

And Adrienne’s Blog is loaded with her Thankful Thursday post which consists of  links to exciting things you need to know and put on or fix or update on  your blog….ooooh.

John Thornhill is a little behind..he was still on a rant about JVs that you promote for, but when you do a launch they somehow seem to be missing.

Well, JVs are  something to keep in mind for someone getting ready to do a launch, but I need something to launch… so it is filed in that dungeon of things I might need to know...

However John does have a pre launch check list that you can download that is Roast with the Gravy so if you are in that mode..check it out.

So since none of the above made any contribution to Making Money Online, but actually shows how to not make money or add value to your sites, lets get back to my review of Dave Nicholson’s 2008 offering.

So, How Do You Make Money Working on the Internet?

Dave has an h2 way down the page and this is how it reads:

What are the Simplest and Best Ways to Make Money Online

Dave Says:

I often get asked the question “how can I make money online”, the answer in short is to do a little work each day, creating, adding to and increasing your streams of income.

Great Tip, but it sounds like you already need a “stream” of income flowing!

OK, so where can you get started creating these ‘streams of income’?

Dave continued with his advice.

I have listed a few of what I consider the simplest and best ways for you to get started, don’t try to bite off more than you can chew, simply start with one method at a time and gradually increase after you feel you have completed one method to the best of your abilities.

Remember, these methods will possibly create you an income for many years to come, so keep that in mind when you are creating.

– See more at: http://www.dave-nicholson.com/blog/what-are-the-simplest-and-best-ways-to-make-money-online/#sthash.F9cHgteY.dpuf

Dave lists several methods along with a description that fills out and amplifies the information.
  • Affiliate Marketing
  • Provide a Service
  • Social Networking
  • Advertising
  • Create Your Own Product

Then Dave goes on to give the Advice you need to pay attention to.

All of these methods will create a stream of income.

He also believes it is smarter to have more than one stream of income.

But.  In order to make this work…pick one..Just ONE and try to implement it and get it going.

In other words, we are back to Focus and Prioritizing your goals, your work, your time management, your mindset…..

Straight from Dave Nicholson’s Mouth:

“Now take one of these methods at a time and try to implement it as best you can, try to do as much as you can yourself, that way you will learn more and it will save you money.”

So, what should you take away from this?

Number 1.  Don’t do what I did.
Number 2.  Do what Dave and just about any good Marketer will tell you to do.  (if you can’t remember, see above!)
What he is telling you to do, still works in 2014, 2015 just as well as it did in 2008, just update the methods a little here and there and
Most Important…Do It, because you can make money on the Internet.
From a Webinar I watched last night…45 minutes of continual talk.
The Gold?
Here it is:
to make money on the internet
all you need
1. product
2 converting page
3. targeted traffic: you need (according to the statistics) 100 real people
to look at your product
to get just 1 (one)
to buy.
So one more time
1. product
2. converting page
3. Targeted Traffic

Can you do this?

Have you done this?
I’d like to know.
Did any the above suggestions work for you?  Were any of them on the table when you were learning how to create an income for yourself by taking advantage of using a computer and the internet?

Share!

Now take one of these methods at a time and try to implement it as best you can, try to do as much as you can yourself, that way you will learn more and it will save you money. – See more at: http://www.dave-nicholson.com/blog/what-are-the-simplest-and-best-ways-to-make-money-online/#sthash.F9cHgteY.zG2gl7p8.dpuf

Virtually everybody who’s marketing online uses an email service provider that delivers both broadcast and autoresponder email messages, right?

If you’ve ever lurked in forums or talked with any number of online marketers about the usual crop of autoresponder companies, you’ve undoubtedly heard grumbling about at least some aspect of all the providers they’ve used.

SendReach has a solution for all these problems and more

  • Poor deliverability,
  • unable to easily change providers
  • and move lists, unresponsive customer service
  • and being banned for being a marketer who promotes income opportunities are common complaints.

–>  Briefly, SendReach:

Originally, the word was that it would be priced at a premium above all the other well known services because it’s simply so much more valuable.

During the introductory roll out, they’re price matching the lowest prices from all the top providers in the industry,”
